Interpreter Communication Quality in Cognitive Assessments for Dementia The MINDSET Randomized Clinical Trial
A new research paper, Interpreter Communication Quality in Cognitive Assessments for Dementia: The MINDSET Randomized Clinical Trial, has been published in JAMA Network Open. The study confirms that interpreters who completed the MINDSET training demonstrated improved communication during cognitive assessments.
NAATI was a proud partner in the research, and the MINDSET training is now available for free on NAATI Learn. While the training has been promoted previously, it’s now backed by strong evidence confirming its impact—a major step forward in demonstrating the value of professional development for interpreters.
