What is the survey about?
Legal Literate is a plain English glossary app created by the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity (JCCD) with the aim of assisting interpreters working with people with limited English proficiency in Australian courts and tribunals. The JCCD is considering updating Legal Literate and would like your thoughts and feedback about it. The following survey of 11 questions is designed to help us learn how the app is being used and how it might be improved. All responses will be anonymous and used only for internal JCCD research purposes.
Who is conducting the survey?
The survey is being conducted by the JCCD, which is an advisory body formed to assist Australian courts, judicial officers, and administrators to positively respond to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse Australians, including migrants and refugees, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The JCCD developed the Recommended National Standards for Working with Interpreters in Courts and Tribunals and the Legal Literate App.
Who is being asked to take part?
The survey is being directed at interpreters that either uses Legal Literate or interpret in legal settings in courts and tribunals.
What do I need to do?
You are invited to complete the survey by following this link, which should take less than 10 minutes.
The survey closes on 20th April 2022.
