What is recertification?
Any translator or interpreter wishing to maintain a NAATI credential must recertify with NAATI every three years.
It does not mean sitting another test and is not designed as a barrier to staying in the profession. Rather, it demonstrates you are maintaining your skills, knowledge and experience.
Recertification supports the professionalism of the sector. It also assures the community that only practising professionals hold current NAATI credentials.
‘Practitioners commit themselves to lifelong learning, recognising that individuals, services and practices evolve and change over time.’
