All NAATI face to face testing has been postponed until further notice. Online testing will soon be introduced for some test types, and eligible candidates will be contacted directly to change their current test session.
As most people would be aware, there are increasing restrictions on businesses and travel due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which is having severe impacts around the world.
We appreciate that many of our candidates rely on our testing for their professional livelihood or migration. However, it is with great regret that we have had to suspend all face to face testing to ensure the health and safety of test candidates and staff and to meet government-imposed business restrictions. Face to face testing and public access to our offices will be unavailable from the 30th March 2020 to the 30th June 2020 at this stage.
NAATI is continually monitoring the situation, and we will be in contact with candidates if we can commence face to face testing sooner or need to extend the closure.
In the next few weeks, NAATI will introduce online CCL testing for candidates with test sessions during this period and expect to be able to test all currently booked candidates over this time. For yet to apply CCL candidates tests will now be booked for a specific month from September onwards, with testing being arranged in consultation with the individual. We are also actively pursuing options to allow Certified Translator testing, which we hope will be available within a few months. Candidates with existing bookings will be contacted directly to make arrangements for new online test times.
NAATI wishes all our candidates and practitioners good health and safety during these times. If you have any questions, please contact info@naati.com.au.
